Finally finished it....

Well, here is my first ever completed cable scarf. I used the Irish Hiking scarf pattern that was suggested to my by my good Jean. What an easy pattern once you get use to using the cable hook. I used the Heathers yarn from Purlescence yarn shop in Sunnyvale, it a nice peruvian wool that is a blend of different shades of green to give it a little bit of depth. This pattern is very repetive, but so nice if you are going on a road trip and not going to have to drive....it can get done in no time flat. Not too bad for a first shot.
